OVI enforcement for St. Paddy’s Day, First Four

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The First Four tournament at UD Arena kicks off Tuesday night, which also happens to be St. Patrick’s Day. Local law enforcement agencies say they will be on the lookout for impaired drivers.

Montgomery County is once again offering its ArriveSafe Program for the holiday. Residents can get a free cab ride worth up to $50 from 6 p.m. Monday, March 16 through 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 18.

The county prosecutor’s office is working with the Montgomery County OVI Task Force, AAA and Heidelberg Distributing to offer the program.

To request a free cab ride within Montgomery County, call 449-9999.

The Montgomery County OVI Task Force also plans to hold an OVI checkpoint Tuesday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m.  The exact location has not yet been announced.
