Horror film seeks local actors for background roles

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WDTN) — There’s an opportunity coming up for local people to appear in a horror movie being filmed in the area.

A casting call notice on Film Dayton’s website details a number of background roles the Los Angeles-based film company is looking to cast.

“The Funhouse Massacre,” a low-budget horror movie, will be filmed in the Dayton area March 25 to April 19. The movie happens on Halloween night, when serial killers escape from a mental hospital and take over a funhouse. The patrons think it’s all part of the show at first.

Filmmakers are looking for people from 18 to 80 years old with all sorts of backgrounds and appearances. For a full list of available roles, click here.
