OAKWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – The City of Oakwood is now in the process of removing old trees in a high traffic area.
Crews are removing aging trees and old stumps along the Far Hills Avenue business district.
The $65,000 project will get rid of 150 trees. Some of the trees are also vulnerable to the emerald ash borer.
One lane of traffic is closed nearest to the tree line while work is underway.
The trees will be replaced with new ones.
The project is expected to last a couple more months.
