ENGLEWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – Rescue crews had to free three people, including a baby, from a car wreck Friday morning.

The crash happened in the 500 block of Main Street in Englewood around 6:45 a.m.  The street is closed between Wolf Avenue and Taywood Road.  Traffic is being re-routed onto Taywood Road.

Investigators believe the man driving fell asleep.  His car hit a utility pole, snapping it down onto the roadway.

A woman and infant were in the car.  All three people were taken to the hospital with what is being described as minor injuries.

That stretch of road will be closed until the wreckage and pole can be cleared from the roadway.
