One in custody after standoff in Harrison Twp.

HARRISON TWP, Ohio (WDTN) – Police have one man in custody after a standoff ends in Harrison Township.

Police responded to the 2000 block of Kildare Avenue just before 11 p.m.

Police say neighbors saw 20 year old Devin Arnett outside, shooting a gun, as he argued with other neighbors.

Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies and SWAT immediately blocked off the street and asked people to stay away from the area.

Police say Arnett had barricaded himself in his home while they attempted to communicate with him.

Police were able to take the man into custody around 1 a.m. He will undergo a mental evaluation and may be charged with obstructing official business and discharging a firearm in the vicinity of a roadway.
