JEFFERSON TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – Firefighters in Jefferson Township battled flames At a house on Maeder Avenue.
Crews were called there just after midnight when someone reported hearing an explosion.
“The rear of the house was very well involved. Crews did a really good job getting in the front door, keeping the fire to the rear section of the house,” said Chief Larry Sexton, Jefferson Township Fire Department.
The chief says there is no evidence of an explosion, but he does say this fire is suspicious.
No one has lived in the house since February. The power was disconnected.
