DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Officials say Jesse R. Whitaker, 20, was arrested overnight by University of Dayton police for underage drinking.

This is not Whitaker’s first brush with the law.

Weeks prior, in mid March, the 20-year-old was arrested in Beavercreek for an OVI.

Police say he crashed his car on US Route 35 west near Interstate 675.

For that incident, he faces charges of OVI, driving under suspension, giving false information and underaged consumption.

Whitaker is also the man responsible for a crash that killed three Bellbrook teenagers.

Then 17-years-old, he was convicted as a juvenile for vehicular manslaughter for a crash on Wagner Road in Sugarcreek Township in November 2012.

Officials say he lost control of the pickup truck he was driving; alcohol was not a factor in that crash, though that case suggested alcohol was.

Whitaker was booked into the Montgomery County Jail; he has since posted bond.
