DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A newly planted fresh garden is designed to give Dayton folks some healthier options.

Dozens of young people and their parents from Adventure Central planted a Wellness Garden Saturday afternoon at the Good Neighbor House on East First Street.

The garden is for clients who come to the pantry at Good Neighbor House to have a healthier selection of fresh produce.

The event celebrated Global Youth Services Day. It was the second year the Good Neighbor House partnered with Adventure Central.

Good Neighbor House serves around 21,000 people a year who are 200% below the federal poverty guideline.
