KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – Some local favorite seasonal ice cream shops are excited to kick off the year.

Places like Rita’s ice cream in Kettering and Jet Freeze in Beavercreek both agree the rain hasn’t impacted business.

“Today we were dead and then all of a sudden a group of people came in, so it varies, but I think it’s going to be a really big season this year” said JT Saxson, employee at Rita’s.

“Everyone wants their Jet Freeze so they’ll come no matter what. Rain, snow, sun…doesn’t matter” said Amanda Bowling, employee at Jet Freeze.
