Second siren tests sounds late, but worked

UPDATE:  The City of West Carrollton did tests its tornado sirens Tuesday, but it sounded a bit later than planned.  The city says the test was scheduled for noon, but it was not conducted until 2:30 p.m.  The good news is the siren wailed as expected, no glitches.


WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WDTN) – West Carrollton is testing its tornado sirens again Tuesday.

A city spokesperson says they were tested as planned Monday, but there were some technical difficulties.

The sirens will be tested using the City of Centerville’s Dispatch Center. The test is in preparation for the transition of West Carrollton’s emergency dispatch center to Centerville.

The merger takes effect April 30.
