KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – If you’re in Kettering around Town & Country shopping center, you may notice a big trailer with several dumpsters.
Construction has officially begun all over the strip mall.
The entire center of the mall is clearing out, with only two stores left to relocate within the center.
The middle part of the mall will be home to a T.J. Maxx, but that’s not the only change coming. The entire shopping center is getting an upgrade.
Stores like Trader Joe’s and Joseph A Banks are under construction for an expansion.
While stores like What’s Poppin’ have moved to other parts of the mall.
“Dumpsters being delivered in the front parking lot. We have a construction trailer that was delivered Friday that will be the office space for the construction company while they’re here doing the remodeling, we have barrier walls at both ends of the shopping center right now” says Molly McGinnis, Town & Country marketing coordinator.
If you’re looking for updates on the mall’s progress, look in the hallway across from Roderer Shoe Center, there is a kiosk with construction progress.
The upgrade is expected to be complete by the fall of 2016.
