WWII grenades found at Beavercreek house

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) – The Dayton Bomb Squad helped Beavercreek police detonate a couple of old World War II grenades Tuesday.

Crews were called to a home in the 1300 block of Crown Point Court at 2:00 p.m.

They say the devices were found by someone who was taking care of the property for the previous owner.

The grenades were removed to the Beavercreek Police Department where they were safely detonated.

No one was hurt nor were any neighbors evacuated near the house.
