Generation Dayton lends helping hands for service day

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – An event bringing together young professionals across the Miami Valley. Generation Dayton held its 9th annual service day.

The event also marks the day Generation Dayton was founded. More than 130 volunteers worked with 13 different area non-profits. Some include Garden Station, Habitat for Humanity and House of Bread.

“Honestly today is the biggest event of the year and you can see by everyone behind me have a ton of impact on the Dayton area,” said member, Michael Allen.

“We just want to make Dayton a city that young professionals can be proud of, and we want to attract young professionals to the area,” said community service chair, Andrea Livingston. “So this give us a way to give back to our non profit who are always continuing to make Dayton a better place.”

Generation Dayton had an after party from now to about 7:30 at Brixx  on first street.
