WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WDTN)– Proof that giving back pays off, one mobile food pantry has grown so much over the last five years, it needs a bigger truck.
BOGG ministries volunteers passed out food to people in West Carrollton Tuesday afternoon.
Established in 2010, BOGG ministries stands for “Because of God’s Grace.”
The group started passing out food to the people of Miamisburg.
The nonprofit has now grown to nine Miami Valley locations, and has outgrown it’s current truck.
Director and co-founder, Jason Johnston said their movement is about much more than feeding people.
“Yeah you can get your groceries to take home, but even if that isn’t what you’re needing and you just drive by, and want to have a meal or volunteer just to sit down and get to know one another– it truly is about community and getting to know one another.”
This summer, BOGG plans to add movie nights to their mission.
It will also be adding another location in Xenia.
If you’d like to help them reach their goal of buying a new, bigger truck to transport the food, you can donate to the cause at thebogg.org.
