MORAINE, Ohio (WDTN) – A Moraine ice cream shop is ready to open a little later than planned.

The Dixie Dairy Dreem on South Dixie Drive had to delay its opening after a fire back in February.

Crews have been working to repair the damage, and add some improvements.

“The fire damage was relatively minor,” said Ron Enderle, owner of Dixie Dairy Dreem told 2 News back in March. “Its a 1953 building. So by law we have to bring it all back up to 2015 code. So that means all the wiring and plumbing and that kind of stuff all has to be done. And then a lot of other stuff. Yeah we are taking advantage of us being down and the building being apart to do some remodeling.”

Summer business hours are 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 10:00 o.m. on Sundays.
