Former cop sentenced for disorderly conduct

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Former Dayton Police Officer Erica Cash was sentenced Wednesday for disorderly conduct.

Cash plead guilty to the charge stemming from a crash investigation back in October of 2013.  The judge gave Cash 30 days in jail, but suspended that sentence if she serves five years probation and completes 100 hours of community service.The judge also ordered cash to pay a $250 fine.

Cash resigned from the Dayton Police Department after being accused of interfering with a Trotwood Police investigation into a fatal crash in 2013..

Her friend, Jermaine Griffin, fled the scene after a fatal hit and run at Little Richmond Road and Gunther Road in Trotwood. Cash helped him after he took off. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
