WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A community of loved ones and strangers gathered Wednesday evening to support a Carlisle family that lost a child in a crash.

Kimmy Coyler, 12, died Friday when a minivan she was riding in crashed on Union Road in Carlisle.

The family is struggling to pay for funeral and memorial expenses, so the Franklin based group, Angels Memorial Assistance, stepped in to help.

The group organized a raffle and auction at Miami Valley Sports Bar in West Carrollton. The items were donated from people across the area.

“Really, there’s no words on the compassion that people have for a total stranger that they don’t even know,” said Teresa Scott, Angels Memorial Assistance, Inc.
