Serious crash sends 2 to hospital by air

GETTYSBURG, Ohio (WDTN) – Two women were seriously hurt in a three vehicle crash in Darke County.

Rescue crews were called to the 8100 block of US Route 36 near Gettysburg at 3:00 p.m.

They say an SUV that was slowing down to make a turn was rear ended by a semi truck. The impact sent the SUV into a truck coming from the other direction.

The driver of the SUV Teresa Ann Johnson, 70, of Greenville was flown to Miami Valley Hospital where she is listed in serious condition at last check.

Her passenger, Jody Stewart, 53, of Bay City, Michigan, was flown to the hospital as well. She is in fair condition at last check.

The drivers of the two truck involved were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
