DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – 2 NEWS has learned that Tonisha Harris is out of jail.

Harris is charged with gross abuse of a corpse and failure to report a crime in connection to the death of Nichelle McKnight and the disappearance of McKnight’s son, Zaden.

The Montgomery County Jail confirms that Harris was released Wednesday afternoon under orders that she wear a home monitoring device.

She already served a prison term for using McKnight’s debit cards.

Police suspect that Harris and then boyfriend, Antwan Anderson, were stealing money from McKnight.

McKnight and her son were reported missing in late March 2014.  Her body was found several weeks later. Zaden has not been located.

She is expected back in court sometime next week.
