GREENE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – The northbound lanes of I-71 are shut down just north of State Route 72.

Two semis crashed on the highway around 4:30 a.m.

One of the drivers was killed.

Video from Chopper 4 out of Columbus shows one of the vehicles smashed into the trailer of the other truck.

Dispatchers with the Wilmington Patrol Post say traffic is being diverted off the highway at SR 72. Drivers can take 72 north to U.S. 35 east to get back onto I-71. That will add at least another 20 minutes.

The interstate is expected to be closed through the morning commute.
