COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — State officials are set to release Ohio’s latest monthly employment data.
The Friday morning report coming from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services will show April employment data across sectors such as construction, manufacturing and health care.
Ohio’s unemployment rate for the last three months has held steady at 5.1 percent.
The March report showed that Ohio had 295,000 unemployed workers, up 5,000 from a revised 290,000 unemployed workers in February. The state saw gains in industries including education and health services, financial activities and information.
The sectors with the biggest job losses were construction and the leisure and hospitality industry.
Ohio’s unemployment rate has remained below the nation’s, which was 5.4 percent in April.
