Deputies: Alcohol factor in teen crash

SALEM TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said it believes alcohol played a role in a crash that injured two teens.

The crash happened before 12:30 a.m. Saturday on Wones Road near Meranda Road.

According to deputies, Samone Brown, 18, of Kettlersville lost control on a curve and flipped her 2004 Pontiac Vibe into a ditch.

Brown was taken to Miami Valley Hospital via CareFlight for her injuries. Brown’s 15-year-old passenger was rushed to Wilson Memorial Hospital.

Deputies said alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash.
