Motorcyclist killed after hitting tree

BETHEL TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — A motorcyclist is killed after he crashed his motorcycle into a tree in Bethel Township.

The crash happened on Medway Carlisle Road just north of Main Street around 9 p.m. Saturday.

According to OSP troopers, Jay Jenkins, 55, drove his Harley Davidson Motorcycle off the road and hit a tree.

Jenkins was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers stated alcohol and speed may have been factors in the crash.

Officials said Jenkins was not wearing a helmet.
