DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Three drivers were arrested Friday night for OVI after Dayton Police and the Montgomery County OVI Task Force held a checkpoint and saturation patrols.
The checkpoint was held at Wayne and Wyoming streets Friday night. Police used the Esther Price parking lot as a place to test drivers’ sobriety, which stirred up some controversy.
According to officials, 532 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. Of those vehicles, 20 were diverted and four were tested for OVI.
The chekcpoint and saturation patrols netted three OVI arrests, three driving under suspension, two driving without a license, one drug arrest, two open contain citations, two child restraint citations, and two other citations.
