VANDALIA, Ohio (WDTN) – Crews say heavy smoke kept them from getting inside a house fire in Vandalia Saturday evening.

Crews responded to a structure fire in the 11000 block of Cassel Road around 7 p.m. Saturday.
Heavy smoke initially kept them from entering the building safely.
Firefighters were able to knock down the flames quickly, and eventually able to get inside.
No one was found in the structure, but lieutenants on the scene say there was significant damage.
Investigators are looking into what caused the fire.
