Police and residents chat over coffee

WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WDTN) — West Carrollton community members along with officers chatted over a cup of coffee Saturday morning.

The West Carrollton Police Department hosted “Coffee with a Cop” at ele’ Cake Co., located at 810 East Dixie Drive.

The event was aimed at giving residents the opportunity to ask questions and chat informally with local police.

“We have a lot of new faces in the department and think it will be helpful for residents to be able to put a name with a face,” said West Carrollton Police Chief Doug Woodard.

Woodard said he hopes citizens will feel comfortable approaching the officers with questions or comments.

“If this is successful, we would like to continue to host these events a few times each year,” said Chief Woodard.
