BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) – A slight delay in the reopening of a Beavercreek business damaged in last week’s tornado.

Fitworks was hoping to open again Wednesday, but it did not pass one inspection.

It says on its Facebook page that every inspection was passed except one, that being the fire alarm system.

They expect it to be inspected again Wednesday, but in the meantime, the gym must stay closed.

A scaffold tunnel will also be installed to ensure safe entry once the gym opens again.

A new air conditioning unit will also be installed. You might remember the surveillance video from the gym that showed the unit blowing to the ground during the storm.

Fitworks hopes to open by the end of the week.

The tornado on Tuesday, May 26 damaged not only the Fitworks, but several other businesses in the Greene Crossing Center. Two people were hurt and several cars were tossed around the parking lot.
