CHARDON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Moraine man is now implicated in a contract killing investigation out of northern Ohio.
Chad South, 45, was indicted Wednesday on aggravated murder charges along with Joseph Rosebrook, 59, of St. Cloud, Florida and his brother, Carl Rosebrook, 57, of East Liberty, Ohio.
They are accused of botching a contract killing in 2006 that ended with the wrong man murdered.
The Geauga County Sheriff’s Office says Joseph Rosebrook was in jail and hired Chad South to kill a witness against him. Prosecutors say South killed the wrong man. They say he was told to kill a man named Daniel Ott. South is accused of killing the wrong man with the same name at a home in Burton Township, outside of Cleveland.
All three men are in jail in Geauga County.
