SR 122 will be closed for nearly a week

BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – Culvert replacement work will close SR 122 between SR 725 and SR 744 for five days.

The work, and the road closure, is scheduled to begin Monday, June 15. According to the Ohio Department of Transportation SR 122 will be closed for culvert replacement near Stubbs Road just west of Middletown.

The official detour for northbound SR 122 traffic will be west on SR 744 to north on SR 503 to east on SR 725 in Preble County to SR 122. Southbound SR 122 traffic will use the reverse detour. The detour is an additional 3.8 miles or approximately five minutes.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure.

ODOT reminds drivers to be cautious in this area and slow down to protect workers and other drivers.
