Granddaughter of homicide victim due in court

TIPP CITY, Ohio (WDTN) – The granddaughter of a Tipp City man whose body was found in a Northern Kentucky creek heads to court Monday.

Hope Earnshaw-York is charged with possessing heroin. She has a pre-trial hearing scheduled in Miami County Court of Common Pleas at 2:30 p.m.

Earnshaw-York and her boyfriend Richard Terrel are also facing charges of receiving stolen property in Municipal Court. They are accused of stealing three guns from William York Senior, which were later sold to a gun dealer.

They have not been charged in connection York’s death, but prosecutors say the investigation is ongoing.

William York, 88, was reported missing from his Tipp City home on May 30. His body was found in Boone County, Kentucky several days later.
