Fire sparks in home on East Fifth Street

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Fire officials are looking into what caused a fire to break out inside a Dayton home.

Flames sparked in the front room of a home in the 2300 block of East Fifth Street around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

No one was home at the time the fire started.

Damage is estimated at about $5,000.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
