DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The rainy weather has canceled Dayton’s “Celebrate Fatherhood” event.

Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services planned to hold the Father’s Day festival on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Island MetroPark, but officials said the river levels were too high in the area and the grounds were soaked by the continuous rain.

Tents were set up, but they were drenched.

Officials tell 2 NEWS right now, they don’t have plans to reschedule the event.
