XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) – The Greene County Sheriff’s Office shed some light on a search warrant issued in Spring Valley Wednesday that called for the bomb squad.

Investigators say 170 guns and hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammunition were taken from the home in the 2300 block of Schnebly Road.

The warrants were the result of an ongoing gun investigation at the house after he was accused of firing shots off in the neighborhood.

Deputies also say they found some potentially explosive items they were not familiar with, prompting the call to Dayton’s bomb squad.

No one was hurt and the items were safely removed.

Charges are pending further investigation and gun inspections.  The suspect’s name was not released.
