Checking on seniors in the summer

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — June is national safety month and health care company Right at Home is using the awareness event to remind everyone to check on their elderly relatives and friends.

The population of 65+ face some additional health challenges because of the summer heat. Seniors are urged to stay hydrated, avoid excessive temperatures and avoid the humidity whenever possible. Medications can also be impacted by the heat as well.
