DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Some local children caught a glimpse of life as a Dayton Dragon.

The Dragons Youth Baseball Camp taught campers how to catch ground balls, throw pitches, run the bases and hit in the batting cages.

It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to play and practice at Fifth Third Field, just like the guys in the minor leagues.

“Help the kids to go through what we do in the daily routine for the players. They have an idea what we teach to the dragons players,” said Luis Bolivar, Dayton Dragons’ hitting coach.

The camp lasts two days. It is an annual event.
