DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Construction on South Main Street in front of Miami Valley Hospital is set to finish late summer, but another project there could create a new challenge.
A wall in place for more than a hundred years is starting to buckle over and the hospital is looking to update it.
The city currently widening the road. The hospital will begin its wall project sometime in July.
“The wall is old, it probably does need to be replaced,” said Steve Finke, City of Dayton engineer.
Finke says the wall is not a hazard to drivers or anyone in the area.
The sea of orange barrels will continue throughout September. Both the city and the hospital hope to have the projects wrapped up in September.
