WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A West Carrollton woman charged for the drowning death of her daughter pleaded no contest in court Tuesday.

The judge found Tara Seidel, 35, guilty of involuntary manslaughter and child endangering.

Her daughter, Rylee Jacobs, 22 months, drowned in a pool at a West Carrollton apartment complex in August 2013.

Prosecutors say Seidel was with the child at the pool, but was passed out when the toddler fell into the pool. Prosecutors said she had cocaine in her system at the time.

Rylee was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital where she died five days later.

Seidel will be sentenced August 6.  She faces up to 11 years in prison.
