OSP: Drugs & alcohol likely factors in collison

MARYSVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a collision in Union County.

The crash happened on State Route 4 near mile post 20 before 5 p.m. Friday in Leesburg Township.

According to troopers, Robert G. Manley Jr. of Orient, Ohio was driving a white 2008 Toyota Solara north on State Route 4, and Michael Lugg of Marion, Ohio was driving south on State Route 4. Troopers stated Manley traveled left of center and hit Lugg.

Manley was airlifted to Grant Medical Center where he is in critical condition. Lugg was transported to Marion General Hospital where he is in stable condition. His passenger, Jeri Lugg was taken to Union County Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released.

The crash remains under investigation.

All of the victims were wearing seatbelts.

Troopers believe drugs and alcohol are considered to be factors in the crash.
