DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A weapons complaint call in front of a liquor store leads to a man behind bars.

Police responded to Gina’s Liquor Store located at 2229 Germantown Street after 9:45 p.m. Saturday when someone called to report a man flashing and waving a gun in the parking lot.

When officers arrived, they canvassed the area and found a man, who matched the description of the suspect, walking across the street to a house in the 2200 block.

Police said when they ordered the man to step away from the house so they could speak to him, he became belligerent, refused to comply, and wouldn’t remove his backpack.

Police placed the suspect in handcuffs, but he reportedly continued to resist and screamed racial slurs and obscenities.

Johnathon Durrough, 38, was arrested for disorderly conduct, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest. He is expected in court Monday.

Police patted him down and searched his backpack but were unable to find a weapon.
