BROOKVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) – A Brookville man is charged with the overdose death of a friend.

A Montgomery County grand jury indicted Brian Hawk, 26, on Monday.

He is charged with involuntary manslaughter as a result of corrupting another with drugs. He is also charged with the death as a result of drug trafficking.

Prosecutors say Hawk provided the heroin that killed Jeffrey Clark, 44, of Brookville. Friends of Clark called 911 on May 31, 2014 to report that Clark was unresponsive. Prosecutors say Hawk failed to seek medical assistance before the other friends called for help.
