WPAFB, Ohio (WDTN) – The Air Force Marathon needs volunteers.
Organizers say it takes 2,300 people to help with the race. They say they have about half that number of volunteers right now.
“The response from volunteers has been great,” said Jeanette Monaghan, volunteer coordinator. “But there are still a few areas where we could really use some help.”
Musicians and performers are also needed to entertain the runners along the way.
Volunteer registration ends August 31. The sooner you register, the better the chance you’ll get the assignment you want.
All of the open positions are listed on the marathon’s web site.
The marathon is set for Saturday, September 19.
