FORT LORAMIE, Ohio (WDTN) – Main stage performers will kick off the 35th annual Country Concert in Shelby County Thursday.
The concert’s general manager told me that anywhere between 15,000 to 25,000 people can be on the grounds during the show. Take that many people, plus food and a place to stay, the money comes flowing in.
Ticket holders are already getting their campsites ready at Hickory Hill Lakes park near Fort Loramie.
The Country Concert kicks off Wednesday with a Camper Party but headlining entertainers don’t take the stage until Thursday night.
Stage crews spent today setting up speakers and massive screens on the main stage where Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line and The Band Perry will perform.
Country Concert organizers say the big names, bring in big bucks to the area.
“Our friends at the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce have figured it recently and for the region. Down into Miami county and the surrounding county with the hotels and the restaurants they estimate that it brings in over $12 million to the local economy,” said general manager Paul Barhorst.
Tickets for the 35th Country Concert are still available. You can get them at the gate, or online.
