DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The City of Dayton will get the money it is owed from Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway.
Mayor Nan Whaley announced Tuesday that the city will get two $500,000 payments over the next two years and that’s it. The city hoped to get a fee every year.
2 NEWS first told you in December about a state veto that stopped the city from getting the racino fee.
The controversy at the time was over who would pay the fee, the state or Hollywood Gaming.
The state budget money is a much needed fund since the new state budget cuts more than a million dollars from the city’s budget if traffic cameras continue to operate without an officer present.
