CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) – Phase I of Wilmington Pike construction by Costco is complete, Phase II begins Tuesday.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is widening the lanes on Wilmington Pike and installing a sidewalk and storm sewer under the I-675 overpass.

Two lanes will be open during the peak drive time, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Otherwise, one lane in each direction will be open, as well as the left turn lanes.

“It’s absolutely going to be worth the wait and for our residents who live around there. We always ask for their patience for them to drive carefully through construction areas and all throughout Centerville. It’s going to take time, good things come to those who wait” said Maureen Russell-Hodgson, City of Centerville Community Resources Coordinator.

Phase II is expected to be complete by the end of this year. To sign-up for updates about the project from the City of Centerville, click here.
