ELDORADO, Ohio (WDTN) – The Preble County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting.

Deputies and medics were called to a home in the 500 block of Lowell Avenue in the Village of Eldorado just before 6:45 p.m. Friday.

Deputies say three adults and three children were sitting inside the home when a 22 year old stranger walked in with a gun.

Deputies say one of the adults in the home shot the man once, who was then taken by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital where he later died. The man has been identified as Jacob Craft of Eaton.

Deputies secured a search warrant for the residence and processed it for evidence. A vehicle believed to be connected with Craft was towed from the scene to the Sheriff’s Office where it will be processed for evidence. Deputies recovered two firearms at the scene.

Investigators say the family is cooperating with the investigation which is still on-going.
