MIAMI TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – A Middletown teenager was found guilty Friday for the role he played in a shooting outside the Dayton Mall.

Keyan Moore, 17, was found guilty in adult court of reckless homicide.

Moore was with friends in December 2014 when prosecutors say they tried to rob two shoppers of some highly-sought after shoes that were on sale.

One of the teens, Jawaad Jabbar, 16, pulled a gun on the victims. One of the victims who had a concealed carry permit, pulled his weapon and fatally wounded Jabbar.

Moore’s involvement in the incident was grounds for the reckless homicide charge as his friend was shot and killed.

He faces four years in prison, plus a $12,500 fine. He is scheduled for arraignment August 11.
