MetroParks rowing toward more opportunities

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A partnership between Five Rivers MetroParks and the U.S. Rowing team launched a first program of its kind Monday in Dayton.

The Dayton Regional Rowing provides athletes new opportunities and enhancing region’s outdoor recreation offerings. It will help boost opportunities for all outdoor enthusiasts not just rowers said Five Rivers MetroParks Executive Director Becky Benná.

The designation will complement the Dayton region’s status as the Outdoor Adventure Capital of the Midwest, Benná said.
