MORAINE, Ohio (WDTN) – You’ll be able to see the first item produced at the former General Motors plant in Moraine thanks to a partnership with Fuyao Glass America, Inc and the Dayton Development Coalition.

Fuyao began manufacturing glass this spring and the first piece will be unveiled Thursday morning at 11 at Carillon Historical Park.

The commemorative windshield will be signed and placed into Dayton’s history during the ceremony.

Fuyao has promised to bring a total of 1,500 jobs to the plant. The company has already invested $150 million into the city.
