Man accused of firing at deputy formally charged

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The man accused of shooting at an off-duty Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy was formally charged Tuesday.

A Montgomery County grand jury indicted Gregory Graley, 28, on a felonious assault on a police officer charge among others.

He is accused of firing at the deputy who was following him in a reported stolen truck on June 24.

The deputy was not struck.

Graley is in the Montgomery County Jail. He is scheduled for arraignment July 23.
