Police look for violent purse snatching suspect

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – Trotwood police want to find the person who violently robbed a woman of her purse.

Police say the suspect attacked the 61-year-old woman in the parking lot of the Burlington Coat Factory in the 5100 block of Salem Avenue on Monday, July 13.

Officers say he shoved the woman and dragged her until she let go of her purse and smashed in a store fixture.

The suspect got away.

Police describe him as having a thin build with short hair. He was wearing light blue shorts, a dark blue hoodie sweatshirt and white gym shoes at the time of the attack.
